Holiday- Day 16-24:
SUNDAY, 15/11/2009 - MONDAY, 23/11/2009: Sorry! Am too lazy to type down what happened each day, so I'm just going to type down what I did roughly over the past 9 days. I had successfully completed my E Maths course, went to send Nazreen to Australia for her NPCC trip, spent an afternoon watching Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham at her place, watched 2012 with my uncle, aunt and sis, and went back home only at 12.30am (it was a late night show and my uncle sent us back to our doorstep). Went to the library, finished reading 2 more new books, Mercy and Do Secrets Count As Sabotage?. Finished 2 more topics off the A Maths book; still have 7 more topics to finish for the Sec 3 syllabus. My jigsaw puzzle got a little jumbled up since I left it under the bed without the cover, so I had to do the frame all over again and sort out the pieces. Trust me, it is no joke trying to do a 1500-piece puzzle, especially if the puzzle is full of green, blue and white. Remember, NEVER to pick a puzzle with only 2 or 3 colours, even if you were blown away the first time you saw the picture. But yeah, I'm still going to take it as a challenge and try to complete it ASAP. I can't wait to see my handiwork hanging in the dining room. The picture is above by the way (the best one I got, although the colour is a little weird). Yay me. Anyway...that was basically what I did actually. Oh, wait, and I also managed to watch the episodes released for Wizards of Waverly Place Season 3 so far! Hahahaha. And I also managed to get blown away by Ranbir Kapoor and his extremely charming acting. *blushes* Yeah, and that's all I've done so far. More to come. Cheers, Irfanah ((:

Holiday- Day 15
SATURDAY, 14/11/2009: I love Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani! That movie is damn cute. Ranbir and Katrina look so good together! Watched this awesome movie today. Oh, and I also collected my super adorable GV membership card today! Went to National Library and spent my time reading. Did notes for Geography. And that's how I spent my day, really. Cheers, Irfanah
Holiday- Day 14
FRIDAY, 13/11/2009:Its Friday the 13th! Had E Maths class in the morning. Productive, but sickening. The weather didn't help much either. It was raining throughout the day and we were all shivering with maths. I'm starting to hate maths already. Especially circles. They take my life out of me. Anyway, came back home and read through my Seventeen magazines. They cheered me up. After lunch, I did my jigsaw puzzle and re-read the nineth book of Princess Diaries. Around 4pm, I grabbed my laptop and chemistry book and went down to the Starbucks at Tanglin Mall. After two hours of chem, I shunned the book aside and watched Jennifer's Body on my laptop. That movie was freaking me out. Thank God I was sitting at Starbucks, where the ambience was quite Christmas-y, although there was no one else except me and the waitress. Needless to say, I polished off two Chocolate blended cream frappuccino. And of course, a double cheeseburger at McDonalds'. Hey, its a FRIDAY. You can't blame me for consuming so much carbs, especially when I was there for 4 hours. My resistence level is not that high. Anyway, it was almost 8.30pm by the time I reached home. One hour past my curfew during semester. But that's all right, no one really seemed to mind anyway. My family was quite keen on the news and a new drama series. Goodness. Cheers, Irfanah
Holiday- Day 13
THURSDAY, 12/11/2009:
Stayed home today, was too tired to do anything. Cleaned up the house, watched a few episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place Season 2. Did a bit of my jigsaw puzzle. Finished my E Maths homework and revised a chapter of Social Studies. Listened to lots of music. Read up poems on peace. Blog-hopped. Actually, the whole day was a little boring. And boring days kind of give me a headache. Blehh. Cheers, Irfanah

Holiday- Day 12
WEDNESDAY, 11/11/2009:
Today was super, super, super tiring. Had E Maths in the morning, and then left for the YOG learning centre. Helped to call up volunteers regarding missing details and confirming attendance for a briefing. I think I should have made 160 calls in total. Anyway, after that, the APEC Youth Group came down for a visit. There shoudl be about 120 people in total. There were reporters everywhere and it was a little chaotic. They separated into groups and the volunteers led them around the centre. It was almost 4pm when they left. Oh, and I also got to meet the IOC President!!! It was so COOL. After they left, I went back to making calls again till 5pm before I went back home. In a summary, I have finished 12 hours of CIP today! Which means, I HAVE OFFICIALLY COMPLETED 68 HOURS OF CIP!!! Woohoo!! I still have 32 hours more to complete though. *sigh* Cheers, Irfanah
HAPPY. (:

Holiday- Day 11
TODAY: I realised I haven't uploaded a nice picture for a long time. The one above is quite nice, yeah? It reminds me of my dad. Anyway, I just sent an email to join a photography course by Julian W. I haven't really heard of him before, but I checked out his blog and the photos were REALLY GOOD. I was so amazed by the pictures. He is actually travelling around the planet to capture them. And I'm mesmerised by the scenery pictures he took. They're awesome. I love photography. And I really, really, really want to enrol in a photography course. Hmm. Now I just have to wait for his reply. Hopefully the course costs about 150 bucks, because that's all I could afford for now. Yeah, and I didn't really do much today. Was not really well. I did E Maths and continued reading my book. Watched a tamil movie, Saroja, and then went back for Biology. Played Icy Tower, and am blogging now. Maybe later, I'll do my jigsaw puzzle, and then go down for a evening/night walk. Cheers, Irfanah

Holiday- Day 10
TODAY, MONDAY, 9/11/2009:
Happy Birthday Rizwanah!! It was my little sister's 11 birthday today. I had E Math class in the morning for 2 hours. We had a Cedar paper to do. After that, I came back home and helped around to put balloons. Rizi was bring over 6 friends and insisted on having a party. I went to the grocery store thrice, went down again to buy a cake (i chose my favourite, not hers- blackforest cake), helped to fry all the chicken wings and fishballs and cut all the vegetables for the bee hoon. The day seriously drained all my energy. In fact, I'm too tired to type now. I'll go off. On a last note, Rizi really enjoyed herself; while I was dying by doing all the work. Bye. Cheers, Irfanah (:
Holiday- Day 9
SUNDAY, 8/11/2009:
My uncle and his family came over today. My aunt's relative came over from overseas and my mother was cooking lunch for them that day. It was havoc. My mum really went all the way out to prepare lunch. She made mutton dum briyani, ayam masak merah, 2 types of salad and mango acar. I know, it sounds heavenly. Till now, I haven't dared look at the weighing scale. Anyway, my 2 cousins came over too and we all played Uno. Guess what, I won all the games. No surprises there, I know. I have my way. Hahaha. Spent the whole day with them, didn't really do any studying. It was almost 7pm by the time they left. Too tired after all the cleaning. Felt like dying already. I watched another movie at night. Saroja. It was mysterious, yet enchanting. I love peaceful saturday nights. And I love to spend them alone. My entire family still had the adrenaline rush and went out shopping. I was asleep when they came back. Bleh. Cheers, Irfanah (:
Holiday- Day 8
SATURDAY, 7/11/2009:
Woke up at 6.30am today. Prayed, as usual. Did another topic of Chem from the TYS before leaving for the market. Surprise surprise. The market was not crowded at all, and it was 8am. Spent an hour buying lots of stuff. My hand was super red by the time I came home. Helped with the cooking before embarking on E Maths. Watched a new movie, (500) Days of Summer. It was SUPER SUPER SUPER nice. I love Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. They have such great chemistry. Too bad Zooey is married. And I love her vintage clothes. Read another chapter of Handle with Care. Then, my grandmother's friend came over to visit. I cooked Nasi Goreng for dinner to impress her. It worked. She loved it. HAHA. It was almost 10.30pm by the time she left. Well, I can't exactly complain. My grandmother needs to have some fun sometimes too. (: Cheers, Irfanah ((:

Holiday- Day 7
FRIDAY, 6/11/2009:
Today, I left my house at 7.30am to take a long walk. I decided to walk along the river 10mins away from my house. Surprisingly, that area was super quiet. The river near Sunset Way and actually lead all the way through Pandan Gardens. I guess it would eventually lead to my school, since N. Gayatri once took that path to come to my school. Anyway, the whole place was so pretty, with the sun just rising and the birds singing, and dew drops still fresh on the leaves. I passed through the old railway track leading to Johor. I once watched it on Uncle Taxi, and wanted to go on it, but didn't exactly try to. I heard there were smugglers there. Anyway, I walked all the way to Pandan Gardens and realised that I was too mesmerised in the surroundings, so I quickly made a U-turn and half-jogged all the way home. It was almost 8.45am by the time I reached home. Did Biology all the way through noon. Then, I left for the airport. I know it was too early, G's flight was at 8pm, but I just wanted to spend time alone first. I reached Terminal 2 at 3pm and rushed to McDonalds for lunch. I was starving. And then, I headed to Starbucks and had my favourite Chocolate Frappuccino while reading Handle With Care. Yay me. Sadly, I only had about 2 and a half hours to myself as G reached the airport with her family at 6.30pm. She looked really good, with her 2 suitcases. Its sad that she would be away for a week. Her other schoolmates were also arriving slowly. Once everyone arrived, they immediately checked-in their bags and started to go in. It was really sad, G was crying already. Now, I am really counting down to Friday. She would be back and we would have a blast. When I reached home at 8.30pm, my grandmother and Aunt were at home. Surprise surprise, Maahira and Khalil were there too! Maahira was such a darling. We all watched Sleeping Beauty together, one of my favourite Disney classics, with marshmallows in chocolate. Maahira and Khalil were so sweet. It was almost 11pm when they left. They were too tired already. And that's how I ended the day. I was glad I had a chance to appreciate the beauty of nature that day. Cheers, Irfanah ((: |
